School food regulations improve snacks

The new food regulations have resulted in an increase in healthy snack consumption, especially in secondary schools.
This has given rise to more nuts and seeds being used in the products sold and therefore a potential increase in the risk of allergic reactions. The Health Education Trust has developed a best practice guide and more information is also available from the Anaphylaxis Society.
